The gangways and foredeck are finished with Flexiteek, providing a low-maintenance and stylish appearance. The cockpit is self-draining and equipped with a cockpit table, cockpit tent, bimini, outdoor shower, swim ladder, and swim platform.
Engine and Technology
The Mochi 65 is equipped with two MAN inboard diesel engines, each with 1100 hp, installed in 2010. Both engines have approximately 600 running hours and are started electrically. The cruising speed is about 20 km/h, with a top speed of approximately 35 km/h. Fuel consumption is around 35 liters per engine per hour. The fuel tank has a capacity of 5000 liters, making the ship suitable for longer trips. Update 8-10-2025: The engines underwent maintenance on 7-10-2025, and new starter batteries were installed.
On board, there are two Kohler generators (model 1500 T) with a capacity of 5000. The electrical installation includes a battery charger, alternator, inverter, shore power connection, and 10 batteries. All batteries were renewed in early December 2024. The onboard voltage is 220V and 24V. The bow thruster and stern thruster are hydraulically operated, making maneuvering a breeze.
Navigation and Steering
The steering is dual, with steering wheels on both the main deck and the flybridge. Navigation equipment includes AIS, autopilot, depth sounder, GPS, chart plotter, compass, log/speedometer, VHF radio, radar, and wind meter. The flybridge is equipped with a crane (hoist).
Interior and Accommodation
Inside, the ship offers a headroom of 2 meters and is equipped with central heating (Kabola, 2017) and air conditioning. The accommodation consists of two double cabins, a cabin with two single beds, and a separate crew cabin at the rear. In total, there are six fixed berths and three additional berths available.
On board, there are 4 wet cells, each with a shower and sink. One wet cell is equipped with an eco-toilet, while the other three have Jabsco toilets (2024). The wastewater tank has a capacity of 250 liters, and the water tank 1500 liters. The toilets are connected to the wastewater tank and do not discharge directly into open water.
The galley was renewed in 2010 and is equipped with modern appliances, including a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, stove, and hot water supply. A Miele washing machine is located in the engine room.
Maintenance and Documentation
The boat was shipped to the Netherlands in 1996 and has had three owners since. Refits were carried out in 2010, 2016, and 2022. In 2022, the ship was fully sprayed with Awlgrip by Van den Enden in Waalwijk, and fender strips were added. The last antifouling treatment and haul-out for maintenance took place in 2023.
