Comfortable Layout and Practical Amenities
Inside the Assemakruiser 900, the headroom is 1.90 meters, providing a pleasantly spacious feeling. The layout is functional and focused on comfort during longer stays on board. The salon features a dining area that can be converted into extra sleeping accommodation. The galley is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, and hot water supply, making self-sufficient sailing possible. The manual toilet installation discharges directly into open water, and there is a separate shower available. The water tank has a capacity of 400 liters, which is sufficient for multi-day trips.
The cockpit is spaciously designed and recently fitted with a new PVC floor (2024), contributing to ease of use and appearance. The cockpit tent was also renewed in 2024 and provides shelter from sun and rain, making the outdoor area usable even in less favorable weather.
Engine and Sailing Characteristics
The Assemakruiser 900 is powered by a Peugeot XUD9 diesel engine with a power of 50 hp. This inboard engine was installed in 2008 and has only 300 operating hours. The engine starts electrically and consumes an average of 3 liters of diesel per hour, contributing to efficient sailing. The cruising speed is around 9 km/h, with a maximum speed of approximately 12 km/h. Thanks to the electric bow thruster, maneuvering in harbors and narrow waterways is easier, enhancing sailing comfort.
The steering is done from the inside helm with a steering wheel, and the ship is equipped with a single rudder. Navigation instruments such as a depth gauge, tachometer, oil pressure gauge, and temperature gauge are present, as well as a voltmeter for the electrical system. The electrical installation operates on 12v and is equipped with shore power connection, battery charger, and alternator. In April 2025, new batteries were installed with a total capacity of 260 Ah, divided over two batteries.
Construction and Maintenance
The hull of the Assemakruiser is made of steel and has a hard-chine shape, ensuring a stable position in the water. In 2023, the underwater hull was treated with antifouling and the hull was repainted. The superstructure and side decks still require attention, offering room for further personalization or improvement by the new owner.
The boat is equipped with an anchor with line, fenders, lines, and a sturdy guardrail all around.Â
Sailing Experience and Usage Possibilities
This Assemakruiser has been owned by the current owner for many years and has been used for various recreational purposes such as day trips, weekend stays, and vacations. The boat has made trips through the Biesbosch and city trips to Amsterdam and Utrecht. Thanks to the combination of dimensions, engine, and equipment, this vessel is suitable for both novice and experienced water sports enthusiasts looking for a characterful motor cruiser with potential.
The Assemakruiser 900 offers a solid foundation for those looking for a classic steel motor yacht with a practical layout, comfortable amenities, and room for personal input. Whether for relaxing day trips or multi-day voyages, this ship offers a versatile sailing experience on Dutch inland waters.
