The 1996 Hunter Pilot 27 offers an impressively spacious and welcoming interior, cleverly designed to provide excellent comfort for extended cruising or relaxed weekends afloat.
Descending the companionway, you are greeted by a bright and inviting saloon finished in classic teak joinery, enhanced by generous natural light from deck hatches and opening portlights. The main saloon features two comfortable settees with a central folding table, creating a sociable dining area that easily converts into an additional double berth when required.
Forward is a superb V-berth cabin with infill, forming a large double sleeping area, complete with storage shelving and hanging space — a peaceful retreat for owners or guests.

History & Construction
Built in 1996 and launched in 1997, this Hunter Pilot 27 has a white GRP hull and decks with non-slip surfaces. It has non-slip seats in the cockpit area. Tiller steering in the cockpit and internal wheel steering. Aluminium toe rails. Stainless steel stanchions, pulpit. Self-draining cockpit. Has been out of the water since December 2025, the hull will be polished, and anodes will be changed before launch. The current owner has had the yacht for the past eight years. The coppercoat was replaced in 2014. The owner, due to age, is looking to downsize to a smaller yacht.

This Hunter Pilot 27 has a Bermudan sloop rig with a Z-Spar aluminium Masthead mast and boom. It has a tabernacle base with mast-lowering rigging. It has stainless steel standing rigging that was replaced in 2013 and terelyne running rigging that has been replaced as required. It has an Easyreef behind the mast furling mainsail and self-tacking Plastimo furling headsail system. All lines are led aft to the cockpit.
Winches:
This Hunter Pilot 27 is equipped with a single Nanni Twin 14HP 2-cylinder diesel engine, connected via shaft drive to a 2-bladed fixed propeller. The engine is indirectly cooled via a calorifier tank. Whilst the total engine hours are unknown. It has an extensive previous service history. It will be serviced in March 2026 by the owner. It has been maintained annually, including all oils, filters, and engine anodes. The yacht features a 50-litre stainless steel fuel tank. It cruises at 5 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 6 knots.
Electric Systems:
2 x 12-volt batteries (1 x engine + 1 x domestic), all new in 2020, charging from the engine alternator, solar panel and via 240v shore power system with ring main, immersion heater and battery charger.
