Built for serious offshore work, this Offshore 8.8 V Promaster open-cockpit fishing boat is a tough, proven sports fisher with a triple-V hull design that delivers confidence-inspiring performance in demanding conditions.  Renowned for her rugged construction and good sea keeping, she is popular among anglers who need a capable platform that can get them safely to the fishing grounds and back again.

The safe-draining cockpit provides an excellent working area for fishing, with plenty of space for multiple rods, deck gear, and bait preparation. The wide side decks and secure handholds allow safe movement forward, while the commanding helm position offers clear visibility when navigating or trolling. 

Below decks, her practical overnight accommodation makes extended trips easy with a forward V berth, and two seats around a saloon table to Port.

This Promaster 8.8 V has a wheelhouse with a forward V berth with lots of storage space. 

Aft of the V berth are two large storage lockers.  To Port is two single bench seats with an offset table. Opposite is the Helms seat with an array of navigation instruments and wheel steering. The vessel is fitted with an Eberspacher diesel cabin heating system. 

The accommodation has an array of fishing tackle, rods, reels, and floats that are being sold as part of the package. The aft cockpit has lots of storage space, a bait preparation table and area and a water tank on the stern to store the catch of the day.

History & Construction

Built in 2000 to 2001 specifications, this Promaster 8.8 V Offshore has a white/yellow GRP hull and decks with non-slip surfaces. It has aluminium seats and decks in the large aft cockpit area. Wheel steering. Stainless steel stanchions, pulpit.  Self-draining cockpit.  The owner has unfortunately passed away and is being sold by his estate.

Mechanical Systems

This Offhsore 8.8V Promaster fishing boat has a single Volvo KAD 44 260HP diesel engine with a shaft drive to a 3-blade prop. The engine has indirect cooling via a heat exchanger. The engine hours are unknown.  The engine coolers were removed and cleaned in December 2025, which included new coolant. A new circulation pump was fitted in October 2024. A new alternator was fitted in July 2025. This boat is fitted with a bow thruster and also has Trim tabs.  The owner was in the process of undertaking some work on the engine when taken ill, and some pipes have been disconnected. Therefore, it is highly recommended that the engine have a full service prior to being started. 

Electrical Systems

2 x 12-volt batteries (1 x engine + 1 x domestic) all new incharging from alternator and via 240v shore power system with ring main, and battery charger.
