Remarks :
The Merry Fisher 1295 Flybridge is designed to offer a well-balanced combination of space, usability and offshore capability, and this 2024 example reflects that approach with a comprehensive specification and the highly practical three cabin layout. The design makes effective use of its beam to provide generous internal volume, while still maintaining easy access around the decks and between key onboard areas.
Powered by triple Yamaha F300 outboards, the boat benefits from a configuration that supports both performance and handling. The inclusion of electric steering, drive-by-wire controls and an upgraded joystick system, alongside a bow thruster, provides a level of control that is particularly useful when manoeuvring in confined marina spaces. The addition of a 9KVA generator supports extended time aboard, allowing onboard systems to operate independently when required.
Externally, the cockpit and deck layout are arranged to maximise usability. The aft cockpit seating and table arrangement create a practical social space, while the opening terrace and extended platforms enhance the connection to the water. Teak finishes across the cockpit, side decks and forward seating areas add both practicality underfoot and a more refined overall feel. Additional features such as the cockpit enclosure and sun awning allow the space to be adapted depending on conditions.
The interior layout is centred around a bright and functional saloon, benefiting from large windows and an opening side access point. The galley is well positioned for both internal and external service, and the inclusion of a full electric galley setup increases onboard flexibility. Additional refrigeration on the flybridge further supports longer stays aboard.
Accommodation is arranged across three cabins, offering flexibility for family use or guests. The forward owner’s cabin is supported by two additional twin cabins, making the layout suitable for a range of cruising scenarios.
Navigation equipment is well specified, with Garmin displays at both helm positions, radar, VHF and transducer all integrated into the system. Combined with the onboard audio and lighting upgrades, the overall specification supports both practicality and onboard comfort.
Broker’s Remarks
The 1295 Fly is a model I’ve always found easy to recommend, largely because it manages to cover a lot of different uses without becoming overly complex. This example benefits from the triple engine setup and a strong specification, which in my view gives it a very usable balance between performance and onboard comfort.
The three cabin layout is one of the key strengths here, as it opens the boat up to family use or longer trips without feeling compromised on space. On deck, the terrace and cockpit arrangement work particularly well, and the additional teak and enclosure options make a noticeable difference in how the boat can be used across different conditions.
From a handling perspective, the joystick and bow thruster combination take much of the effort out of close quarters manoeuvring, which is something I think a lot of owners will appreciate. Overall, it’s a well thought through example that presents a strong all-round package in this size range.
