XBOAT ref: 6099. EMA has been so much more than just a sailboat for us – she has been our floating home for almost 2 years. From the turquoise waters of Aruba to the coasts of Mexico, Cuba, Bermuda, and finally back to Europe, EMA has carried us safely and comfortably across thousands of nautical miles. She is a Beneteau Oceanis 43, a model known for her onboard comfort, excellent sailing performance, and generous space, both on deck and below.
We have equipped EMA to be completely self-sufficient for long-distance sailing and off-grid cruising. With 1000W of solar panels and 600Ah of lithium batteries, we were able to stay at anchor for weeks without ever connecting to shore power – powering fridges, electronics, lighting, and much more, without difficulty. Whether you work remotely or simply enjoy life at anchor, the energy independence is guaranteed.
The engine is in excellent condition – only 1800 hours, with meticulous maintenance performed according to the manufacturer's schedule. This year, we inspected the standing rigging and replaced essential components to ensure safety and reliability on offshore passages. The sails and running rigging, however, are nearing the end of their lifespan and will need to be replaced before undertaking any significant new voyages – a point already reflected in the asking price.
It is with some emotion that we part with EMA – she has been both our home, our adventure, and our freedom. It is now time for us to turn the page, and we hope she will continue her journey in the hands of new owners ready to write their own story aboard her.
