XBOAT ref :6142. Oyster 435, a bluewater cruising ketch with a center cockpit and a raised saloon, featuring a long keel, ideal for offshore sailing. Treated with the West Epoxy System below the waterline in the USA in 1996. Teak decks (replaced in 2000).
The vessel was refurbished in Thailand in January/February 2005 - replacement of the plexiglass on the opening panels, replacement of the plumbing. Refurbishment of the aft heads and replacement of teak panels where the opening panels had caused discoloration.

1984 to 1987: Turkey and the Mediterranean Sea.
1987 to 1997: Caribbean and the East Coast of the United States.
1997 to 2000: Pacific and Australia.
2000 to 2006: Asia and Thailand.
2006 to 2007: Indian Ocean and South Africa.
In 2010, the vessel was moved from RCYC Cape Town to Manten Marina, Vaaldam. The boat underwent a major haul-out at Manten Marina and was then transported to Richards Bay. It sailed to Mozambique, Simon's Town, and Richards Bay.
