1996 S38Remarks : With much regret, the owner of 'Jenni P' is having to give up sailing and sell his beloved Moody S38 of which he has owned since new. Used exclusively for short-handed leisure cruising, mainly Channel and Atlantic coasts of France and south coast of England, never raced. She is a very comfortable and dry boat to sail with easy and predictable motion in a seaway, not the fastest by modern standards – about 8.0 knots on beam reach in 15k wind but a reliable passage maker and highly manoeuvrable under both sail and power. All main controls including cruising chute furler are led to cockpit making for practical short / single handed sailing. She accommodates six adults easily on extended voyages in 2 cabins. She has been professionally maintained and always marina berthed.
Purchased new by current owner on 19/3/97. VAT paid. Fully registered on UK Ships Register, official number: 900202, port: Southampton, Call Sign: MWSL. Built by Marine Projects in 1996 – Yard Number B4039, HIN GBMPP00024H697, launched March 1997 at Swanwick. Designer Bill Dixon, Lloyds certified hull.
