"Bavaria 42 first owner, 3 cabins, mainsail on cars, genoa on furler.
This Bavaria 42 has only known one family who has decided (reluctantly) to sell it due to age.
If you come to see it, you will find several tasks that the seller leaves to the buyer's discretion to plan after purchase, such as: replacing a set of sails, replacing the sail drive seal, some minor cosmetic work here and there, but overall the boat deserves your attention, especially since the price is very attractive today.
The interior upholstery and floors have always been protected and are therefore in good condition.
The BAVARIA 42 is built according to the A design category, « Offshore » (module Aa).
This design category requires that the sailboat be suitable for long cruises with winds above 8 (Beaufort scale) and waves over 4 meters, thus allowing it to navigate largely by its own means.
This also means that the manufacturer certifies the compliance of the construction and equipment with the directives, but that stability and freeboard, as well as buoyancy and floatation, have been checked by an approved inspection body."
