1982 KETCH
XBOAT ref :6093. Spacious and robust 16.2m custom-built aluminium ketch, built in 1982 and refitted in 2010, currently located in Izola. The yacht is commercially registered for charter use and offers an exceptional layout with six cabins and accommodation for up to thirteen persons.
Designed by Kurt A.H. Oehlmann, the vessel combines a strong aluminium hull with a centreboard configuration, allowing shallow draft operation while retaining offshore capability. This makes her suitable for private cruising, liveaboard use, training or charter-oriented projects.
Powered by twin Mercedes diesel engines and equipped with a bow thruster (updated VFD drive), the yacht remains manageable for her size. Onboard systems include Furuno navigation electronics (radar and sonar) and a Fischer Panda 6.5kW generator, supporting extended stays onboard.
The interior layout is practical and spacious, with six separate cabins, a large saloon and good overall living space, well suited to longer stays or accommodating larger groups.
The vessel has benefited from ongoing owner maintenance in recent years and is in active use. A new headsail furling system is available but not yet installed.
As with yachts of this type and age, there is scope for a new owner to further refine certain areas depending on intended use, including deck finish, sail handling setup and improved integration between navigation instruments.
