Ventana is a proven bluewater cruiser, having successfully completed a full circumnavigation in March 2024. Designed and maintained with long-range self-sufficiency in mind, this two-owner vessel has been meticulously updated and is now offered for sale in turnkey condition — ready to sail away.
With a spacious 3-cabin / 2-head layout, she offers exceptional comfort for liveaboard life or extended cruising. Her shoal draft wing keel allows access to shallow anchorages without compromising offshore performance, making her ideal for both Med and ocean passagemaking.
Equipped with 2023 Rolly Tasker sails, new Raymarine electronics, and a full suite of modern navigation and communication systems — including Starlink internet — Ventana is ready for today’s connected adventurers. Her energy independence is guaranteed by 1000W solar, a wind generator, and 800Ah of lithium-ion batteries, all supporting critical onboard systems such as the 100 l/h watermaker and full domestic comforts.
The boat has been thoroughly maintained throughout her global voyage and is now located in Barcelona. Start your summer cruising the Med in style and comfort — and cross to the Caribbean this winter with confidence.
Last time out of the water for antifouling and anodes replacement in September 2024.
The Hunter 49 Ventana features a spacious and functional 3-cabin, 2-head layout, ideal for liveaboard comfort and extended bluewater cruising. The forward owner's cabin includes a centerline super-queen berth, built-in seating, ample lockers, and a private ensuite with separate shower compartment.
Two aft cabins—one with a double berth (starboard) and one with a queen (port)—share a second head with dual access, providing versatility and privacy for guests.
The large central saloon is bright and well-ventilated, with a custom teak dining table seating up to 8 guests. New cushions (2023) and well-designed storage solutions make it perfect for long stays aboard.
The galley is fully equipped for self-sufficiency, while onboard climate is regulated by three air conditioning units and a hot water system.
With generous tankage, comfortable sleeping for 6, and a warm, practical layout, Ventana is the ideal cruiser for long-distance adventures or luxury liveaboard life.

Ventana is powered by a reliable Yanmar 110HP diesel engine with 6000 hours, driving a self-feathering Auto-Prop 3-blade propeller (rebuilt 2024) through a direct shaft drive. She features a bow thruster, a Balmar high-output alternator, and a Fisher Panda 12kW generator (3002 hrs). The engine room is well maintained and includes dual fuel filters, emergency stop, sea strainer, and complete spares.
The rig is a Selden tall aluminum in-mast furling system with a manual rigid boom vang, upgraded with 2023 Rolly Tasker mainsail and genoa. Lewmar 2-speed self-tailing winches (including one electric) provide efficient sail handling. A spinnaker pole and stainless steel standing rigging round out the package for confident offshore sailing.
